Britton Nelson

Hi! I’m currently a dietetics student at K-State, working towards becoming a Registered Dietitian. I have always loved helping others and through running, I found a passion for and interest in nutrition. I’m creating this blog so that I can have a creative space to share food recipes and ideas, nutrition information, sustainability swaps and more. I named this blog “Balanced by Brit” because I feel like it can incorporate many topics and not limit me in my creative content. I love the word “balanced” because to me it means that I don’t have to be perfect 100% of the time, which as a type A perfectionist (like many dietitians) is a good reminder and big stress reliever. Nobody is perfect and that also means there is no perfect diet, exercise routine or lifestyle. Everyone has to find their own balance that works for them and makes them feel their best both inside and out!
